South Big Horn County Airport Runway Relocation Project - Greybull, Wyoming
GDA first worked for the Greybull Airport in 1953 and has been their consultant ever since. The last decade has seen many improvement projects at South Big Horn County Airport.
Phase II of this $11 million project is presently underway. The project involves construction of a new 150’ wide by 7000’ long runway 400 feet east of the existing main runway. The project involved 400,000 cubic yards of earth work. It provides for an entirely new airfield lighting and NAVAIDs system. The project also involved many drainage, erosion control, fencing, and perimeter fence amenities. The project will be complete in late 2010, a full year ahead of the planned completion date.
