Kemmerer Municipal Airport Runway Reconstruction Project - Kemmerer, Wyoming
This $5.6 million dollar project involves a full removal and construction of the main runway including modifications and improvements to drainage facilities and a replacement lighting system. Originally, the project was meant to overlay the existing runway. GDA’s attention to detail and thorough preliminary investigation proved to the FAA and WYDOT that the full reconstruction alternative was necessary and justified. The project had to wait another year to gather the necessary federal and state funds, but turned a 5-10 year fix into a 20-30 year solution.
